PROBLEM: J-CHANNEL OF SIDING INSTALLED OVER DRIP EDGE

It looks like the caulk didn't work to well. The water ran down behind the siding, and like fire, water destroyed the substructure. Note the carpenter's pencil jammed 2-3" into the wet cardboard-like wood.
